Cathal Cleary
Position: Hardware Installation and Network Support
Cathal is our IT Infrastructure Consultant specialising in core IT infrastructure and applications with over 12 years experience in the industry.
Cathal qualified with an honours degree in Commercial Computing from the Dundalk Institute of Technology in 1996. He started his IT career that year with Measuresoft Development Ltd., a Dundalk based software house developing supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA) in C++.
After qualifying as a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer in 2000, he progressed with the company to the position of external developer assigned to Motorola Cellular Infrastructure Group in Cork where he worked with a team to design and develop Motorola's first Windows based Operations and Maintenance Centre for cellular operators such as Vodafone and O2.
In 2001 Cathal joined SureSkills where he refocused his career on systems integration. He worked as infrastructure systems engineer and achieved qualifications with many of the leading vendors such as Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, EMC and Check Point. He quickly progressed to the position of Consultant and then Senior Consultant.
SureSkills is one of Ireland's Dell Professional Services partners. Cathal worked closely within this partnership for many large Irish companies such as Anglo Irish Bank, Pioneer Global Investment Managers, HKR Architects, various central government departments and local governments, Stryker, The Irish Times, DTZ Sherry Fitzgerald, Eircom and Tesco Ireland.
Cathal recently achieved VMware Premier Partner status which allows him to recommend and support VMware Virtualisation solutions.
